Are you kidding me?! That pistol could’ve been designed by a mechanically inclined five year old. It works just like a nerf gun. That’s a Glock, one of the best functioning firearms of the modern era, but it was basically the bastard child of some expert on polymers.

That down there though, is a browning 1911. One of the oldest weapon systems, let alone pistol, to still be widely used by military and civilians. Now that, is a work of art, not some chiseled out piece of steel and plastic.

Oh man that sucks. It’s super frustrating when AC goofs happen and you can’t fix them. For example… I rolled an ugly face and thought I could fix it at Shampoodle. So I kept catching so many fish and later found out that makeovers are just for eye color. I can’t restart after catching a barred knifejaw, pop-eyed goldfish, etc, so I’m stuck with sleepy eyes.

Today, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Words and cell phone pictures can’t do justice to the kelp exhibit. It’s just one of the most gorgeous things I’ve ever seen.

They also had adorable otters, all sorts of sea horses (even the kelp-camoflaged ones!), a massive exhibit highlighting endangered species like yellowfin tuna and sharks, and two different jellyfish exhibits.

One of them was somber and otherworldy. The other was a psychedelic 60’s party room. We danced around in the 60’s one, and in the somber one, Jim took this.

It’s a really cool shot, but it came out all low-quality and grainy. Oh well. We tried to replicate it with the yellowfin tuna.

We went to San Francisco’s Japantown for some weeabootastic times.

This Pikachu is actually a ride! Only little kids were allowed in, though. The whole store had clearly rigged arcade games with adorable plushie prizes.

This stunning bamboo forest is located in the Arashiyama district on the west outskirts of Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most amazing natural sites in the country. An interesting fact about Sagano Bamboo Forest is the sound that the wind makes while it blows through the bamboo. Amazingly enough, this sound has been voted on as one of the “one hundred must-be-preserved sounds of Japan” by the Japanese government.
